Prevention of dental diseases

The dental technology may be advanced, but the base on which the patient's health is build  is prevention.

In the center of a prevention program there is a personal (home) oral hygiene and plaque control.The control of its formation remains a significant factor affecting oral health. Preventive measures should be aimed not only at removing plaque, but to prevent its formation.
The smell from the mouth  can be a hint that you are a resident of the Earth of the 21st century, not the primitive man or alien.

The prevention of  a dental disease  is the foundation of all modern dentistry. If you do not have good oral care, all efforts of your dentist will be thwarted; seals lose their aesthetic appeal and its functionality, the life of prosthetic are significantly reduced, implants are rejected, not celebrating the first year of life.

Dental clinic "TRI-NITI" offers the following preventive services:

- lesson of oral hygiene
- professional oral hygiene;
- fluoridation of teeth;
- fissure sealing;
- mouthguards to prevent abrasion.

Lesson of oral hygiene

The dentist is responsible for the professional hygiene, but the patient is responsible for an individual hygiene. What is the individual hygiene? This is a complex of measures which we conduct every day at home. In today's market there are many products for oral care. Advertising industry is growing rapidly. On television, on hoardings we can see toothpastes, toothbrushes, mouthwashes. Manufacturers claim that their products are just for us. In supermarkets we buy these standard sets. This is an example of group hygiene, which we are imposed by advertising. But, perhaps, do we need some other products for high quality hygiene?

Fissure sealing

Fissure sealing is a preventive procedure that is performed on milk and permanent teeth in the first two years after their eruption.

What is a fissure?
There are about 50 billion bacteria in the mouth, these bacteria are natural inhabitants of the oral cavity. If bacteria are often given sugar or meals and drinks containing sugar, they multiply quickly and are fixed as sticky mass (plaque on teeth).  They  produce harmful for teeth acids, that saliva cannot  wash away. The ecological balance in the mouth is violated – caries appears.

In the tubercles of chewing teeth the enamel is strong and can resist germs, and in fissures (small holes between the tubercles) - it is thin and poorly mineralized.

Mouthguards to prevent dental abrasion

Bruxism (abrasion)  is creaking and clenching of the teeth at night due to an unconscious activity of specific muscle groups.

Bruxism is called the disease of the 21st century, the century of high technologies and high stress.
The causes of bruxism is not completely clear. Usually there is a combination of such factors as psychological stress, nerves, and the absence of some teeth, malocclusion.
It is surprising, but the teeth are involved in the behavioral responses of a human, such as anger, aggression, fear and pain. In extreme situations, we briefly clenches our teeth. If such situations are repeated, there is a chronic unconscious programming of masticatory muscles on tension.

Bad breath (halitosis)

One of the most common signs of a dental disease is bad breath.Unfortunately,  it accompanies many pathological conditions, and depending on the process  it  changes the degree and intensity of the odor from the mouth. Bad breath is not a hesitation problem, because methods of treatment are simple and effective.
In most cases, halitosis is the result of the congestion of  a large number of bacteria in the mouth.

The main causes of halitosis are:
• dental disease (caries and its complications, the disease of the mucous membranes of the mouth, gum disease, poor-quality prosthetic and orthodontic structure);
• lack of personal oral hygiene, as a result in the mouth  a large number of bacteria collects;
• upper respiratory tract infections;
• systemic diseases.

Fluoridation of teeth

Our teeth are in need of minerals, the most important of which are fluoride and calcium. Cavities appear for many reasons, one of them can be called the demineralization of teeth. When the process of demineralization of a  tooth begins, the enamel becomes less strong, there is porosity, and this leads to the tooth decay.

What causes the tooth demineralization? First and foremost, it happens because of malnutrition, as food is the main source of minerals and vitamins, thanks to which not only teeth become strong, but also the whole body. Secondly, you must follow carefully the oral hygiene, since saliva and food debris destroy tooth enamel and thus reduce the natural protection of teeth.
